Accessing Resources

College research needs to consider literature, case studies and reports from academic sources. Once you have identified a potential resource, you need to access it. You will need to retrieve print resources from your library itself or through inter-library loans. And you will need to access periodicals through the online databases at your institution. Contact your institution’s library if you need help retrieving research materials.

How to search databases

Online databases contain a great deal of academic information at your fingertips. The key is to search it quickly and find the most important information for your topic. Check out the tips on how to use “Search Terms” and databases from the Cooperative Library Instruction Project.
